Download & Extract

Download the full client from any mirror above. Extract to a clean folder like C:\MuOnlineS21.

Don't use system folders like Program Files or synced drives.

Antivirus Exception

MU Online uses memory protection that triggers false positives. Add your game folder to antivirus exclusions before extracting.

Launch & Play

Run MuOnlineS21.exe to open the launcher. It auto-patches to the latest version. Log in and start your adventure.

Antivirus Exclusion Guide

MU Online uses memory protection that can trigger false-positive detections. Add your game folder to exclusions.

Windows Defender

Open Windows Security from the Start menu
Click Virus & threat protection
Under settings, click Manage settings
Scroll to Exclusions → Add or remove exclusions
Click Add an exclusion → Folder → select C:\MuOnlineS21

If the installer was already blocked, check Protection history and click Allow.

Kaspersky

Open Kaspersky → Settings (gear icon)
Security Settings → Exclusions and actions on object detection
Click Manage exclusions → Add
Browse to your game folder, check all components, click Add

Norton

Open Norton → Settings → Antivirus
Under Scans and Risks, click Configure next to exclusions
Click Add Folders and select your game folder
Also add under Auto-Protect / SONAR exclusions

Avast / AVG

Open Avast → Menu → Settings
General → Exceptions
Click Add Exception, browse to your game folder, confirm

Bitdefender

Open Bitdefender → Protection → Antivirus Settings
Go to Exclusions tab → Add → Folder
Check both On-access and On-demand scanning
