Your First Steps in MuOnline S21
Everything you need to get started — download, setup, class selection, leveling strategy, and the endgame systems that matter.
Step 1 — Download & Install
Get the game client on your machine in three simple steps.
Download the Client
Head to the Downloads page and grab the full game client. The file is a compressed archive (~4–5 GB).
Extract the Files
Right-click the archive → Extract All (or use 7-Zip / WinRAR). Use a simple path:
Program Files, Desktop, or OneDrive — these cause permission issues.Launch the Game
Open the game folder and run MuOnlineS21.exe. The launcher auto-checks for updates and patches your client.
Step 2 — Antivirus Exception
MU Online clients trigger false positives due to their protection layer. Add an exception before extracting.
Windows Defender
- Press Win + I → Privacy & Security → Windows Security → Virus & threat protection
- Scroll to Virus & threat protection settings → click Manage settings
- Scroll to Exclusions → click Add or remove exclusions
- Click Add an exclusion → Folder → select
C:\MuOnlineS21
Third-Party Antivirus (Avast, Norton, Kaspersky…)
Open your antivirus settings → find Exclusions or Exceptions → add the game folder (C:\MuOnlineS21).
Each antivirus has a different UI — check their help docs or ask in our Discord.
First Login
Three things to complete the first time you open the game.
Create Account
Register here with a unique username, email, and password. You can also register in-game through the launcher.
Create Character
After login, create your first character. Choose any of the 16 classes — 12 are available immediately, 4 unlock at higher levels.
Starting Area
You'll spawn in Lorencia (melee) or Noria (elf). Talk to NPCs, grab quests, and start leveling by killing monsters nearby.
Choosing Your Class
16 class lines, 5 evolution tiers each. 12 are ready from login — 4 open via level progression.
Tank / Melee
- Dark Knight — Classic sword warrior
- Rage Fighter — Fist-based monk (Lv 200)
- Grow Lancer — Lance reach fighter (Lv 200)
- Illusion Knight — Burst melee
- Crusader — Holy melee frontliner
Caster / Mage
- Dark Wizard — Classic ranged caster
- Summoner — Caster with summons
- Rune Wizard — Hybrid caster
- Light Wizard — Caster / support
- Lemuria Mage — AoE arcane control
- Alchemist — Utility / craft caster
Ranged / DPS
- Slayer — Melee DPS
- Gun Crusher — Ranged gunner
- Magic Gladiator — Hybrid DPS (Lv 220)
Support / Hybrid
- Fairy Elf — Heal, buff, ranged
- Dark Lord — Commander with pets (Lv 250)
Leveling Path
Base EXP rate is 1000xx with dynamic scaling — you'll level fast early on, tapering as you grow stronger.
Lorencia / Noria / Elbeland
Kill monsters near town. Upgrade gear at NPC shops. Focus on survival and learning your class skills.
Devias / Dungeon / Lost Tower
Join parties for the set party EXP bonus. Start doing Blood Castle & Devil's Square for daily event rewards.
Atlans / Tarkan / Aida / Karutan
Push to 400 for your first reset. Focus on Excellent gear and wings to strengthen your build.
RESET TIME!
Reset at 400 for stat points, WCoin, Goblin Points, and Ruud rewards. You keep all stats and equipment.
Reset System
The core progression loop that defines long-term growth on this server.
Reset at Level 400
Reach Normal Level 400 to reset. Your level resets to 1, but you keep all stats, master level, and equipment.
400 Points / Reset
Every reset grants 400 stat points (flat) plus WCoin, Goblin Points, and Ruud rewards that scale higher each tier.
Milestone Rewards
Hit milestone tiers (RR 10, 25, 40, 50, 70) for one-time bonus rewards and major progression boosts.
Events & Invasions
Participate in daily events for WCoin rewards and rare drops. Every run counts toward your economy.
Blood Castle
Kill monsters and destroy the crystal. 6 entries/day — 6 WCoin reward.
Devil's Square
Survive monster waves in an arena. 6 entries/day — 6 WCoin reward.
Chaos Castle
Free-for-all PvP + monsters. Last player standing wins. 6 entries/day — 8 WCoin reward.
Castle Siege
Guild war for castle ownership every 14 days. 35 WCoin reward. The ultimate endgame event.
Imperial Guardian
Defend the empire through 6 stages. Available in Instance server.
Arca War
Massive faction PvP battle on the dedicated Arca server. Huge rewards for winners.
Economy & Currencies
Six currency types — know which to hoard and which to spend freely.
Zen
Basic currency. Drops from monsters (40x rate). Used for resets, PK clear, NPC purchases, and crafting.
WCoin
Premium currency. Earned from events, resets, voting (via Credits → Shop), and donations. Used in the Cash Shop.
Goblin Points
Earned passively (100 GP / 10 min online) plus reset rewards. Used for Goblin Point Shop items.
Ruud
Endgame currency from resets and milestones. Used for Ruud Shop items like Pentagrams and high-tier gear.
Vote Credits
Earned by voting (5 credits per vote, 4 platforms, 12h cooldown). Spend in the Credit Shop.
Contribute Points
Gens faction points from PvP kills and resets. Climb the Gens ranking for special rewards.
Pro Tips
Four actions that separate efficient players from the rest.
Party Up Early
A 5-player set party (3+ different classes) gives 3.5x EXP — that's 250% more than solo.
Vote Daily
4 platforms × 5 credits = 20 credits every 12 hours. That's up to 40 per day for free shop items.
Off-Level Overnight
Use Off-Level to gain EXP while AFK. Free players get 4 hours; MU+ gets up to 16 hours.
Night Owl Bonus
MU+ EXP and drop bonuses are higher during 22:00 – 07:30. Plan your grinding sessions.
